About Angela

My parents always taught me to dream big. That’s why before I finished high school in my country. I decided that I wanted to study abroad and discover a little bit more of the world. Honestly, I thought that the farthest country I would go to would be a country close to mine in South America or maybe even North America. But when the name “Germany” started popping up in conversations with my parents about where I could continue my studies, I couldn’t have been more excited. I had never taken German classes in school, and it had never crossed my mind to learn it. But I love learning and challenging myself to do new things. That’s why I decided to give it a try. I arrived in Germany in the spring of 2018 with my backpacks full of dreams and desires. Since that day, I have not stopped learning. I not only managed to master the language. But also to make good friends and learn from the experiences I have had. I also have been able to get to know and appreciate the German culture and its incredible people. Furthermore, I have had the opportunity to learn about the variety of cultures in our vast world, thanks to the international friends I have made along the way. Currently, I am studying at the “Universität Regensburg” in Regensburg, a beautiful city in Bayern. Although I have been living in this country for a couple of years now, I am still learning every day not only about it but also about the world around us. That is the reason why I have decided to study political science as a bachelor´s degree. I have loved writing since I was a child. I also love helping people and seeing them grow from their experiences. Therefore, I decided to take the opportunity to write for this blog because I believe that the best way to learn is to listen or maybe read about other people´s experiences. I also think that being part of a community makes it easier to go through the changes and emotions that all international students go through.
