Last week, our university took us on a field trip to the Technoseum located in Mannheim, and it has become one of the most interesting museums I’ve visited. There was not a dull moment in this museum and the displays were so captivating – showcasing 200 years of technological and social history – starting from the beginning of the industrial revolution in the state of Baden-Württemberg.There was a beautiful display of vehicles- from bicycles to cars; trains and carriages. An eye-catching display of gadgets. And my favourite was definitely the display of old rooms and furniture. Amidst the floors full of displays, there were several spots to carry out hands-on experiment, however I was never a very physics or chemistry person – so I did not spend much time in these sections.

Tickets cost €9 for adults, but students get a discounted price of €6. The museum is open daily from 9am to 5pm. I rate it a 5/5 and recommend it to all.

In the evening, our friend, an amazing cook and hospitable host, prepared a delicious Pakistani meal for us.🍴

A slight note on the weather because it’s been so unusual lately. This is surely the coldest May I’ve experienced with temperatures averaging 8°C and endless showers throughout the week🌧. I guess winter did not decide to leave after all.  #Mood🤕🤒
